Really pleased with this painting, which helped me resolve some issues I was having painting the rugs & the wool hair.
Finished painting. It’s even more beautiful IRL.
About 10” round (tondo)
Oil on board.

Boosts also appreciated.
Right here is a painting I am nearly finished with, it is of my best friend Tony back in New Jersey's wife and his daughters. The two youngest ladies illustrated are my nieces, I am a very proud uncle. He is going to give this painting to his wife for Mother's Day coming up.

Leipzig 04/25
Back in Leipzig, but continuing the theme of looking up ... Bit different from my usual posts, but since I do a lot of portraits as well, this is a blend of my usual portrait work with the high contrast b&w streak I'm on right now.
This shot was taken during Fototreff Leipzig, a monthly meeatup of models and photographers.

My private wildlife spotter, driver and friend Josef. He is one amazing guy and friend!
Just practicing 3/4 face angles (they're really difficult for me) by drawing my main babygirl as usual.
Mike, Toronto, 2005 09. Mike was a carillonneur and one of the instruments he played was in the Soldiers' Tower at University of Toronto. It's played on a sort of keyboard, where the player hammers the "keys" hard enough to actuate a mechanical level and pulley system that strikes each bell. Late summer in Toronto ... near 95F/35C outside, an considerably warmer inside the enclosed chamber near the top of the tower.
